Summer '16 Is Upon Us Posted 6.03.2016

With the arrival of June, school is getting out and pretty soon Pomp and Circumstance will fade into the background.  And then?  And then it's time to dig deep in the Word as we enter the new schedule of summer.

The PV Street Fair is June 11-12 -- and Peninsula has a booth once again.  That's a great way to meet the community and make our presence felt.  We need you to help with that!

Vacation Bible School is just around the corner (June 20-24).  Then the annual Church Picnic at Hess Park (June 26).

We have students heading to Thermal in early July to staff a summer (it is HOT out there!) ministry for middle school students.  Pastor Dan is leading the team who is in charge of the entire program this year.  Then it is time for Quest Musical Camp, with the big children's musical set for Sunday, July 31.  The youth will be active all summer long, as the time away from the books will allow more time to consider The Book.

Summer is amazing and the staff would love you to use these days to grow in your walk with Jesus.  We will wrap up our Small Books Great Hope series through the Minor Prophets at the end of June, and then begin something very special for July and August.

By the end of August it is back to school -- and off to Uganda for Team Bombo.  The 2016 Medical Mission will be open September 11-16.  We are still looking for doctors for that important week of ministry.  2017 will be our tenth annual clinic -- and a huge party is being planned to commemorate the faithfulness of God -- and Peninsula for ten years.

So as things heat up around here -- make the Word a central part of life.  And, when you are out of town this summer, make sure you check out our Sunday services LIVE.  We'll be streaming live each and every Sunday.
